Dr. Utpal Shah is a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Surgeon with over 28 years of practice in cardiac surgeries. He is affiliated with prestigious medical organizations, including the General Medical Council, England, the Gujarat Medical Council, India, the Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons of India, and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Dr. Shah graduated from NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, in 1983, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Gujarat University in 1987. He further specialized by completing an M.Ch in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, in 1990. Dr. Shah also received super-specialty training in the UK for four years at the Royal College of Surgeons, gaining significant experience at notable institutions such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.

His expertise spans a wide range of complex cardiac procedures, including cardiac transplants, high-risk and redo coronary bypass surgeries, adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries, thoracic and aortic dissection and aneurysm surgeries. Dr. Shah is also known for performing heart valve surgeries, keyhole angioplasty, infarct exclusion surgery, and the implantation of Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD).
